Get ready for the Golfweek Senior Desert Showdown, happening Nov. 5–7 at the iconic Las Vegas National Golf Course—a course steeped in history and just minutes from the electric energy of the Strip.

This legendary track opened in 1961 as Stardust Country Club and has seen the likes of Palmer, Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods (during his first PGA Tour win in ’96). With towering trees, bold bunkers, and five thrilling par-3s, it’s a true test of skill and shot-making.

Add in the backdrop of Vegas, the home of the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame, and the prestige of playing where champions have walked—and you've got a can’t-miss showdown in the desert.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: All Golfweek senior tournaments are WAGR counting events leading to exemptions into the 2026 U.S. Senior Amateur at Baltimore Country Club (Ease Course) Baltimore, Md. September 3, 2026.

 

Tournament Facts:

  Eligibility: 

- Amateur Golfers, aged 55 and over by November 5, 2025.

- Handicap Index of 8.0 or lower

 

Divisions:

-Senior age 55-64

-Super Senior age 65-69

-Legends age 70-74

-Super Legends age 75+

 

Tees:

-Senior Division will play approximately 6300-6500 yards

-Super Senior Division will play approximately 6000-6300 yards

-Legends Division will play approximately 5600-6000 yards

-Super Legends Division will play 5400-5600 yards 

The yardage will be determined by course conditions and might vary from day to day. 

 

Conditions of Play:

The current USGA Rules of Golf shall be in effect

 

Tournament Registration $795.00 Includes: 

- Three (3) tournament rounds with cart.

- Player's lunch following the final round

- Awards following the final round

- Merchandise prize pool of $80.00 per player.

- Caddies are not permitted and carts are mandatory.

 

Accommodations: Are not included in your entry fee, however, many options are available in the Las Vegas area. As always, rates are based on availability at the time of booking so book your reservations in advance.

 

Schedule of Events-

 

Practice Rounds: 

- The official practice round date is Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Please note - For tee times call the pro-shop at 800-711-2833 and identify yourself as a Golfweek Senior Desert Showdown participant. Tee times may be made in advance of the play date on a space available basis. Las Vegas National will offer a 20% discount off of the applicable rate. 

      

Tuesday, November 4, Practice Round:

Practice rounds start at 7:30 AM. Tournament registration will be in the lobby from 10 AM until 4 PM. If you cannot be at registration, we will take care of it a scoring following your first round.

 

Wednesday, November 5, Round 1:

7:30 AM - 9:27 AM Starting off of No.1 and No. 10 tee. Subject to change.

 

Thursday, November 6, Round 2:

7:30 AM - 9:27 AM Starting off of No.1 and No. 10 tee. Subject to change.

 

Friday, November 7, Round 3:

7:30 AM - 9:27 AM Starting on No.1 and No.10 tee. Subject to change.

Immediately after the completion of each division:

- Buffet lunch 

- Players Awards

- Departures

Deadline to register: October 30 or until field is full

Prior to September 15, 2025: 100% refund minus $100 cancellation fee

September 16 - October 15, 2025: 50% refund

After October 15, 2025:  No Refund
