Join us for the 2024 Golfweek Pacific Northwest Senior Championship July 1-3, 2025, at Wine Valley Golf Club, in Walla Walla, WA where world class golf and world class wine go hand in hand.

 

Wine Valley Golf Club is a premier Dan Hixson design playing over rolling hills in the shadow of the Blue Mountains. Each hole provides multiple lines of play, ensuring a pleasant yet challenging round for our cadre' of world-class golfers. Currently ranked number 3 in the state of Washington on the Golfweek Best Public Courses list, the spectacular and stunningly beautiful Wine Valley is positioned to make a run at the top spot.

 

Downtown Walla Walla is just 10-minutes away with an award-winning main street that is home to art galleries, tasting rooms, restaurants, shopping and night life. Bring your spouse and friends to this destination tournament and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Walla Walla area.   

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: All Golfweek senior amateur tournaments are certified WAGR counting events leading to exemptions into the U.S. Senior Amateur.

 

Tournament Facts:

Eligibility:   

- Amateur Golfers, aged 55 and over by July 1, 2025.

- Handicap Index of 8.0 or lower

- This is a cart tournament and caddies are NOT allowed.

 

Four Divisions:

-Senior age 55-64

-Super Senior age 65-69

-Legends age 70-74

-Super Legends age 75+

 

Tees:

-Senior Division will play approximately 6300-6600 yards

-Super Senior Division will play approximately 6000-6300 yards

-Legends Division will play approximately 5600-6000 yards

-Super Legends Division will play 5400-5600 yards 

The yardage will be determined by course conditions and will vary from day to day. 

 

Conditions of Play:

The current USGA Rules of Golf and Interpretations shall govern play.

 

Tournament Registration $595.00 Includes: 

- Three (3) tournament rounds with cart

- Unlimited range balls and use of the practice facilities

- Prize pool of $80.00 per player

- Cocktail Reception with heavy Hors d'oeuvres on Tuesday, July 1 - spouses are invited

- Lunch each tournament day.

- Awards with lunch following the completion of each division on Thursday, July 3 - spouses are invited

 

Practice Rounds:

- Practice rounds are available on Monday, June 30, for a discounted rate of $105 per player including cart. Multiple practice rounds may be played in advance at the special practice round rate.

- To book your practice round call 509-525-4653 and mention that you are a Golfweek participant.

 

Accommodations: Not included in your entry fee however Golfweek has negotiated a variety of options. All are within 15 minutes of Wine Valley Golf Club and are significantly discounted. The block at each hotel is limited so call early to reserve your accommodations. Click on the hotel name for more information about that hotel.

- The Marcus Whitman Hotel, 509-525-2200 (Click on the hotel name for online booking.) 30% off the rack rate - discounted rooms starting at               $150.00 - Breakfast is included with all.

- The Courtyard Marriott - 509-876-8100. Call the hotel directly and mention The Golfweek Sr PNW Championship. Fifteen rooms are available from 6/29 thru 7/4 at the rate of $139.00 per night plus tax. Reservations must be made by Friday, May 30, 2025 to receive the host rate. 

 

Schedule of Events:  

 

MONDAY, JUNE 30th

11:00am-6:00pm: Tournament registration will be near the Wine Valley Pro-Shop

  

TUESDAY, JULY 1st

8:00am: ROUND 1 starting on #1 Tee.

5pm Wine, cocktail reception with heavy hors d'oeuvre at Wine Valley (Significant other is included.) Everyone is encouraged to attend.

 

WEDNESDAY, JULY 2nd

8:00am: ROUND 2 starting on #1 Tee. 

Afternoon & Evening: On your own

 

THURSDAY, JULY 3rd

8:00am: ROUND 3 starting on #1 Tee.  

Lunch and awards immediately following the conclusion of each division.

Cancellation Policy:  

Deadline to register: June 26, 2025 or until field is full (limited field)

Prior to May 11, 2025: Full refund minus $100 cancellation fee

May 11 - June 1, 2025: 50% Refund

After June 1, 2025:  No Refund

 

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: All cancellations/withdrawals from the tournament MUST go through Ron Gaines, rgaines@golfweek.com in order to receive a refund (if applicable). Do not withdraw yourself using the GolfGenius application as we are not notified and you are cleared from the registration system with no way to process a refund. There are NO exceptions. Thank you.
