You're invited to the 2025 U.S. Senior Challenge, April 27-30, at Hobe Sound Golf Club in Hobe Sound, FL. With a historic player's roster that looks like a "who's who" of national senior players, the WAGR power ranking is sure to rival the top senior amateur tournaments in the world.

Now in its 40th year, The U.S. Senior Challenge was the nation's first senior amateur golf tournament giving 4-man teams from different states the opportunity to compete against each other. Much like a college format, The U.S. Senior Challenge is a tournament within a tournament, where both team and individual champions will be crowned.

FORMAT: Players may register either as an individual or four-man team. Individuals will play a standard 54-hole tournament format. Those registering as a state team will play a 54-hole team format where the best three of four scores will determine the team total with each player also competing as an individual. (Individual players may be combined from contiguous states.) Teams may be made up with individuals from any division. There will be a team champion crowned as well as an individual winner in each division.

"The U.S. Senior Challenge gives an elite senior golfer the rare opportunity to not only represent their state but also play in a tournament using a college format," said Cory Armstrong, Executive Director of Sun Country Amateur Golf Association. "The tournament has continued to grow and we expect it to continue to get even stronger."

Mike Quinlan, the Executive Director of the U.S. Senior Challenge said, "We're looking for more captains to step up and put a competitive senior team together from their state. It's similar to the now defunct USGA State Team Championship. We always felt it was important to have a tournament where the best players represent their state."

"We're excited to partner with the U.S. Senior Challenge and The Sun Country Golf Association," said Armand Cimaroli, Director of Events for USA Today Sports/Golfweek. "Their mission in support of Senior Amateur golf has helped us shape a partnership that will continue to grow as it stretches into the future."

Hobe Sound Golf Club is a private, member-owned golf club located in Hobe Sound, FL., with a limited membership of just 200. The club features an 18-hole championship course designed by Tom Fazio II, who completed a renovation in 2019 to enhance its natural beauty and strategic playability. As one of only two outside events allowed by Hobe Sound Golf Club each year, the 2025 U.S. Senior Challenge is set to thrill and wow our world class roster of senior golfers.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The U.S. Senior Challenge is certified by The USGA and R&A as a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) counting tournament leading to 25+ exemptions into the 2025 U.S. Senior Amateur to be held at Oak Hill Country Club in San Antonio, TX.
